The City of Walla Walla Professional Firefighters Honor Guard was established in 2000 and was the first Honor Guard in Eastern Washington. The Honor Guard participates in parades, performing opening ceremonies for activities and events, promotion ceremonies, retirement ceremonies, and serves as ambassadors to the Fire Family. It is also to ensure that every member of the City of Walla Walla Fire Department, both active and retired, will have the option of the Honor Guard to be present at his or her funeral service.
